API

Introduction

The Wufoo API gives you complete control over your data. By using programming methods, you can obtain any information from your account, and do with it as you like.

API Information

Obtaining an API Key

To use the API, you will need an API key. To obtain your key, log in to your Wufoo account, and click on “Accounts” in the top right. Once on the Accounts page, scroll down to the API key section. The 16 digit code listed there is your unique API key. This key acts like a password to your data, so be sure to keep it private and to never give it out.

API Restrictions

Our goal is to keep things as open and easy as possible. We only ask that you contact us personally before using the API if you anticipate using more than 5,000 requests per day.

Choosing the Appropriate API

Once you have any API key, the next step is to decide what you want to do.

  • Submit Data - Submit data into your forms.

  • Query Data - Search and filter through data that has been submitted to your forms.

  • Accessing a Report - Make a report with the Wufoo interface, and then query that data with the API. The benefit of this is that you can access a public report without revealing your API key.

Stay Informed with Updates and Changelogs

We keep a separate log from the Wufoo blog related to API changes and updates. The content will cover new features, structural changes and additions to docs and examples.
